The project

In the series REVEALED LANDSCAPES, I explore temporary, previously hidden landscapes on a body.

People are invited to surrender to me as an artist and mold pieces of their bodies. Although the sculptures suggest sensual forms, the images are harvested on innocent parts of the body. This involves paying attention to the presence or absence of relief, the texture of the skin, folds and creases.

Sometimes the skin is manipulated to achieve a particular shape. Each body is subject to time, weathers and changes constantly. The sculptures function as a photograph, capturing a snapshot of the body. A movement is stilled, isolated and mouled and in this way becomes a landscape.

Have you always dreamed of having yourself immortalised in a work of art? Would you like to have a set of sculptures made of yourself and your partner? Or are you just looking for an original gift?

You can take part in a performance in which your body will be used to create a personalised sculpture. As a result, you will receive one or more sculptures in plaster, a document with all the details of the session. In addition, all results will be stored in the artist's photo archive.
